If at all possible, we try out best to avoid cancelling classes; however, there are times when it is better to cancel. Here are the most common reasons why we would cancel a PE class:

• Inclement Weather

  • We will cancel if the weather is bad enough to cause the conditions to be dangerous.

  • We will cancel if the field condition, due to the weather, will make for a potentially dangerous environment.

  • We will cancel if the "feels like" temperature is below 45 degrees .

• Location Conflict

  • There are times when the facilities are unavailable.

  • These instances are out of our control.

• School Calendar

  • There are times when we will consider the school calendar regarding holidays and other scheduled days off from school.

  • We refer to the school calendar are the county we are in.
